It’s easily one of my favorite unreleased Lana Del Rey songs, and one of the most interesting for me to analyze, considering that it’s clearly based on the 1949 road trip that Dolores Haze and Humbert Humbert take in Lolita, which is one of my favorite novels (and movies!) of all time. I listen to it every summer like clockwork the second the weather gets warm, I put this on a loop. But I don’t wanna do that yet so I’ll start with something I know really well.
